Our Tom,
The youngest son, of Annie and Tom.
Over the years he’s gone from the studious little boy to high flying business man.
The strict father, the posh uncle, with his telephone voice and posh cars.
To the up for a laugh, join in everything, embarrassing grandad
Just a few of his memorable antics….
Leaving Rachel and I as payment in a restaurant when he lost his wallet.
Causing chaos at immigration for merely taking Rachel and I on holiday to America, ended up getting upgraded for the misunderstanding.
Paragliding and landing in the palm trees.
Driving down the road in Spain taking off every wing mirror on the road.
Running across the burning sand, bare foot into the sea as it was too hot!!
Ice bucket challenges
Belly dancing king
Talk of the Town Drag Queen hero
Getting a little tipsy on the old efes then falling over blaming others for pushing him!!
70th birthday flying sofa antics, but.. he did stay on it unlike Ciaran and I!
Giving security and Paul the runaround in the Trafford Centre - then grabs a cab home like nothing had happened.
Going missing from his room on Christmas morning in Jamaica, hotel security and housekeeping looking for him… what’s the problem he said. I just went for breakfast.
Lay in the Turkish baths with Rob, just relaxing, Hours later still lay there snoozing
Toms tours, always a mystery day trip, often ending in a bar or two hidden in a corner.
Midnight wanders were one of dads favourite pastimes, not just in recent times either
1982, Garth and Julian formed a search party at 2am. Only to find him chatting to a young Thai lady in a bar!!
More recently, he still made it an adventure. Coming home in a Police van, waking up Christine n Dave with his bag of goodies, braces - tv remotes - phones, chargers- pens - comb to name just a few items.
Dad would rarely swear, and certainly didn’t approve of ladies swearing - Donna.
Well let me tell you all…. He knew every single swear word in the dictionary and more. He made sure he used them all. Thank goodness Aunty Ann was with me or Aunty Tessie and Aunty Kathleen would have told me off for making up such a tale!!
Dad loved a nickname, the Doris’s and the Coven, Soft lad and Boss man I’ll leave it to you to work out who was who!!
He even had a few of his own
Baptised Thomas Kerrigan , no middle name as grandad had run out of names by then.

Rachel Griffiths was born on December 29, 1967. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family. This is a Memory for Rachel Griffiths who was taken away from us on 29th July 2009. She was a beautiful smily lady with an amazing bubbly personality and she had so much courage and determination to keep fighting! Rachel was a true inspiration to us all. The person that Rachel grew up to be is a wonderful credit to us all. The strength and bravery she showed fighting through her illness was extraordinary. Her love of life and spirit touched almost all she met, even when dealing with her illness, she could reach out and change somebodys day with just a smile or a kind word! She will be missed by everyone that knew her. My heart goes out to all my Family and Friends for the sad loss of such an amazing lady. She will be deeply missed.
Help grow Rachel's Tribute by adding messages or memories you'd like to share.
